Gulf Cryo has reached another milestone with the construction of its largest air separation unit in the UAE. Construction commenced in the 3rd quarter of 2012 at the site in ICAD – 3 located in Abu Dhabi. The $18.5 million project is expected to be completed in August 2013.
To mark this occasion a ‘ground breaking’ ceremony took place on the 5 September with the presence of Amer Huneidi, Chairman of Gulf Cryo, Walid Kouatli, Vice President of Gulf Cryo, Naji Skaf, CEO of Gulf Cryo, J.Anbalagan, Technical Director and the technical team for the project.
SIAD Italy, a world class supplier and expert in building ASU’s in the region and around the world, has been chosen for this project. The plant is expected to produce 100 mtpd LOX, 100 mtpd LIN and 4.8 mtpd LAR, to meet the industrial gas demand in UAE and other GCC countries.
